Welcome to Queen Charlotte Yacht Club

The executive committee advise that in accordance with the Governments Covid Protection Framework (traffic light system) for all attendees, sailors, officials, supporters and volunteers aged 12 years 3 months and over, attending  Queen Charlotte Yacht Club events or venue, will be required to provide a My Vaccine Pass for verification. This advisory is to let people looking to travel into our region for regattas know our stance, as such provide plenty of notice. 

This clarity provides some certainty going forward.


2022 ILCA National Championships information.


The Queen Charlotte Yacht Club sails each Saturday during the summer season (September - April) on the waters of Picton Harbour and/or in the Queen Charlotte Sound.

The Club runs an active program with a focus of the community in water activities, water safety, schools programs and introducing sailing activities to all sectors of the community. Have a Go, Introduction to Sailing and Learn to Sail Courses and the club regularly runs Regional and National Events.

Each week a variety of yachts turn out for training and racing including Optimists, Open Skiff, Starlings, Splash, and Lasers. If you or any of your family are interested in learning to sail, or already sail, you are most welcome to come along and join in and see if you would like to join us regularly as a Club Member.
