For 2025 the Interislander Optimist Challenge and Port Marlborough Starling Champs will be a two-day regatta, with registration available on the Friday afternoon.

While the regatta is no longer an NZIODA ranking regatta, it is part of the NZIODA South Island Traveller series and the SCA Traveller series.
